Before You Start
CannaExpress Market is an onion service accessible only through the Tor network. You must use Tor Browser — a regular browser, even with a VPN, cannot access .onion addresses. This guide assumes you are starting from zero.
The laws governing cannabis purchase and darknet marketplace use vary significantly by jurisdiction. You are solely responsible for understanding and complying with the laws applicable to you.
Step 1: Download and Install Tor Browser
Download Tor Browser exclusively from torproject.org. Third-party sources, unofficial mirrors and modified bundles may contain malware or modifications that strip privacy protections.
After downloading, verify the PGP signature before installing. The Tor Project provides a signature file alongside each download. Run:
gpg --verify tor-browser-linux64-*.asc
A valid signature from the Tor Project key confirms the download is genuine.
Tor Browser is available for Windows, macOS, Linux and Android. iOS users can use Onion Browser from the official App Store.
Step 2: Configure Security Settings
Set the security level to Safest before accessing any darknet marketplace. Click the shield icon in the toolbar → Advanced Security Settings → Safest. This disables JavaScript, WebGL and several other browser features that can be used to de-anonymise you.
Also disable WebRTC in about:config: set media.peerconnection.enabled to false. WebRTC can leak your real IP address even through Tor.
Step 3: Connect to Tor and Open CannaExpress
Click Connect on the Tor Browser start screen. Wait for the Tor circuit to build — the green onion icon confirms an active connection.
Copy the verified CannaExpress onion address from our mirrors page and paste it directly into the Tor Browser URL bar. Press Enter. Do not type it manually — a single character error leads to either a 404 or a phishing site.
Step 4: Register an Account
On your first visit, choose a username that reveals nothing about your real identity — no name, location, interests or anything that can be cross-referenced with other accounts you hold. Do not reuse usernames from clearnet accounts or other darknet platforms.
Use a strong, unique password you have not used anywhere else. CannaExpress does not use email for registration, so there is no email address to provide.
Step 5: Enable PGP Two-Factor Authentication
Immediately after registration, set up PGP 2FA. CannaExpress requires it for placing orders.
- Generate a 4096-bit RSA key pair using GPG4USB (Windows/Linux) or GPG Suite (macOS)
- Export your public key and upload it to CannaExpress
- Never share your private key — it never leaves your device
- Test 2FA by logging out and back in before placing any order
- Back up your private key on an encrypted offline device
Step 6: Fund Your Account with Monero
In your CannaExpress account dashboard, navigate to the deposit section. CannaExpress generates a unique Monero deposit address for each transaction. Copy this address to your Monero wallet and send the desired amount.
Allow at least 10 Monero network confirmations before the deposit is credited — this typically takes 20–30 minutes. Do not send Bitcoin, Ethereum or any other currency — CannaExpress accepts only XMR.
For maximum privacy, acquire Monero through a peer-to-peer exchange rather than a KYC-required centralised exchange. Centralised exchange withdrawals can be traced to the deposit address if regulators request records.
Placing Your First Order
Once funded, browse the market and select a vendor with verified reviews. Read the vendor's shipping policies, including stealth methods and any specific requirements for your region.
All orders are placed under escrow by default. Never agree to Finalize Early (FE) — this releases your funds to the vendor before you receive your order and removes all buyer protection.
Provide only the minimum delivery information necessary. Use a pseudonym at the delivery address if possible. Communicate with vendors only through CannaExpress's encrypted messaging system.
